PURCHASING OPTIMIZATION

What they wanted:

As world leaders in patent and trademark services, CONFIDENTIAL were undergoing a soft merger and as part of that wanted to merge and optimize their supplier network.

What we did

RFP and negotiation process in a procurement project for a legal services provider. We first set up an inventory database, combining multiple data sources in a uniform way. As a next step, we held a series of workshops with Sr Leadership to narrow down the list of suppliers strategically and to ensure the best quality. We then created an automated RFP tool to contact xx# agents for their specific services and automatically record responses. Subsequently, we analyzed responses and held weekly stakeholder meetings with Snr Leadership to support the negotiation strategy.

Reducing supplier network from 1000 worldwide to 300 with significant EBITDA impact
